All of this material has kindly been supplied by ex-pupil Jim Davidson.  Jim is working very hard to keep the memory of THS alive.  He also keeps in touch with ex-pupils and teachers.  He has supplied many photo's for the website with a promise of more to come.

All from Jim Davidson - "This batch were taken at a reunion of Tulse Hill 'boys' and staff
held in a private room above the Crown and Greyhound in Dulwich Village back
in 1996. It was organised by Gary Hunt( Brunel House 1965-1973) and 120 former
inmates attended and continued into the wee hours after which the late
John Ryan gave a very emotional speech. I have received from Gary the
list of those who attended and will send them all an invitation to the
Dickens Bench unveiling in Brockwell Park
when I have been able to set a date.

From Jim Davidson - "Three trees representing Dickens, Webbs and Wren have been planted
last Saturday (6th December) and will be officially 'unveiled' at the Tree Ceremony in Brockwell Park
next June (2009) - date to be confirmed. In addition, our first bench is in the ground.  This will be
officially unveiled in the Spring when to family of the person named on the dedicational plaque
can be present. If anyone would like to attend a Fund Raising dinner followed by a private
screening of the Peter Chapman films, I will be organising at least two of these next year as the
first one raised £700"

Photo was taken recently in Brockwell Park with Devon Thomas, who played Surrey Rugby and Cricket, and the Mayor of Lambeth. The ladies are the sisters of Harry St.Aimee who was in Turner House and was picked to run in the Commonwealth Games but alas was killed in a car accident. We are planting a tree in Brockwell Park to commemorate 50 years since the school opened.

There are now two trees, reflecting the colours of Temple and Turner Houses and it is hoped to put another six in the park to complete the original 8 Houses.  Jim is centre of picture in white shirt

30th September 2007

I cannot believe  that forty odd Old Tulse Hill Boys in a room full of food and wine cannot consume more than a morsel but I guess with all the jaw-jaw going on and only two HOURS to do it in there had to be some sacrifices.

A great day finished off with a group photo on the steps of Brockwell Hall (taken by a former Head Girl from St.Martin's Girls school no less) in which we spanned colleagues not only from the first year of the schools existence to 1977, but one hallowed member of the Brixton School of Building who ended his apprenticeship in the first year of Tulse Hill.

I will send a proper report with photo later but would appreciate it if you could put the attached file on the web-site as we will need to tell the Parks people which trees we want before the end of the year (for next June's Tree Ceremony) and I would like to keep the momentum going.
