THE FIRST XI

The U14 Rugby Team from 1966, kindly supplied by Jimmy Davison, the last chap standing on the right

From Left to Right, Back Row- Nigel Hawkins, John Glenister, Roy Eubank, TonyMeacock, Gauntlett Quarrie, Paul Cudmore, Jim Davidson. Middle Row; Steve Ward, Bob Smith, Dave Dowie, Ian Tallis, Gerry Freeman.  Front Row; John Pettyfer, Andrew Baker, Ian Bryant.

John Pettyfer became a surveyor with the company in charge of the demolition of the school back in 1990 and Gary Hunt and Jim Davodson went up onto the roof with the appropriate hard hats to have a last look. Gary organised two reunions at the Crown and Greyhound in Dulwich Village and managed to attract 120 Old Boys on both occasions, with a very emotional speech from John Ryan ( English Dept) who sadly died last year from an infection contracted after a successful hip operation Ken Cranham (the actor) was also at the funeral.   Click Here if you would like to read the funeral ceremony

"I was just looking at the message board and a number
of people have mentioned Bob Skene, a real
character and excellent teacher- well here he is on
a third year Rugby tour of Devon, back in 1967."
