Peter Barry Imberger 8th Apr 1928 - 3rd July 2007 These photo's of Mr Peter Imberger in various dramatic poses were kindly sent in by Mrs Beryl Waters from Australia, where Peter was living until his sad death in July 2007. Beryl also sent a great photo of "The Masters" in June 1960 which is now showing in the "Teachers" photo section. Also received was an excellent copy of the school magazine for 1958 which contains some great articles on trips, sports, the ATC Camp, various school societies, school clubs, athletic results for the 1858 meeting, House reviews, GCE examination results, Prize winners, Speech Day for November 13th 1957 and last, but not least, the school song! Extracts from the magazine will be included in the appropriate sections of the website and I also intend to make the whole magazine available as a PDF download. Peter described his year (1959-60) at THS as "the happiest time of my life". He taught PE and introduced basketball to the school, winning the SE London trophy that very first year. He returned to Australia in 1961. |
